In view of the corona transition, the results of the intermediate semester students of regular, school of open learning, and non-collegiate women’s education board at Delhi University Update will be prepared from ABE. Through ABE, assessment-based evaluation, these students will be prepared for the exam results and will be promoted to the next class. Dean Examinations Professor DS Rawat told IANS that the exams for final year students will now start from June 7 instead of June 1. Final year students will be tested through online medium through OBE i.e. Open Book Examination.
Delhi University is currently preparing to take the final year exams for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Dean Examination DS Rawat said that the examination for the first-year students is scheduled for July-August. Therefore, there is no need to release any new information on this subject right now.
In view of the current status of Covid-19, it has been decided to postpone the examination of final year students by 1 week at Delhi University Update. At the same time, the students of the intermediate semester will be promoted on the basis of assignment-based evaluation. Delhi University has taken this decision in the meeting of Waqirung Group. Its notification will be released on Friday.
DU’s Dean Examinations Prof. DS Rawat said that the intermediate semester will be an assignment-based assessment for second-year students, just like last year. On this basis, the students will be promoted to the next class.
The Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) and several other teacher organizations had demanded cancellation of the examination. These organizations say that these examinations should be canceled in view of the current situation in Corona. Many hundreds of students and teachers are suffering from the corona. In such a situation, mentally many students are not in a position to take the exam.
Dean Examination Prof Rawat says that the final year exam is important. Based on this, the student has to decide his future. Many students get admission in higher learning courses based on final year examinations. Many students also get jobs based on the marks obtained in the final year examinations.
