Queen Ignored Meghan Markle In Her Birthday Event? ‘Notable absence’ Among Wishes

On August 4, Meghan Markle celebrated her 41st birthday with family and friends. There is no question that on her special day, the Duchess of Sussex, who currently resides in California with her husband Prince Harry and their two children, must have received best wishes from several of her well-wishers and fans from across the world. The Duchess of Sussex currently resides in California with her husband Prince Harry and their two children.

Having said that, it was not only that. Her husband’s family hails from the United Kingdom, and they wanted to make sure they wished her a happy birthday publicly. On social media, many members of the royal family, including the Cambridges, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall, wished the former actress a happy birthday. While Prince William and Kate Middleton wished “The Duchess of Sussex” a happy birthday on their official Twitter page, the @ClarenceHouse Twitter account congratulated Meghan Markle on her special day by writing, “Happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!”

Both of the well-wishes were attached to two separate photographs of Meghan. They were taken in the United Kingdom while she was there for the platinum jubilee celebrations of the monarch. Despite all of these well-wishes, there was one person who chose not to publicly express their happiness for Meghan, and that was the Queen.

Did the Queen ignore Meghan Markle on her birthday?

The behavior of the Queen was described as a “notable absence” by the royal correspondent for the Daily Express, Richard Palmer. But he also added that, “It is thought that the Queen congratulated Meghan privately yesterday, but her official website neglected to mention her birthday after deciding it will only mark the birthdays of non-working members of the family when they end in a zero.” This was said in reference to the fact that the Queen’s official website decided to only mark the birthdays of non-working members of the family when their ages ended in a zero.

Despite the fact that numerous reports have suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have fallen out of favor with the rest of the royal family, the couple has consistently insisted that they hold Her Majesty in the highest regard. During their candid conversation with Oprah Winfrey, reports indicate that Meghan shared the following statement: “The Queen has always been wonderful to me.” I just really enjoyed being in her company… she is always welcoming, warm, and really inviting.”

She also recalled her first encounter with the 96-year-old woman when she was still engaged to Harry at the time. This took place before the wedding. According to The Independent’s report, the Duchess of Sussex also shared a heartwarming anecdote about an event that took place in 2018 during which the Queen offered to lend Meghan some of her blanket in order to keep her warm. “In all honesty, I believed that [curtsying] was something that took place outside. I was under the impression that that was a part of the fanfare. I was under the impression that wasn’t what took place on the inside. However, it is your grandmother, I pointed out. And with that, he announced, “It’s the queen.” “At that precise moment, I finally understood what was going on,” Meghan continued.

In addition, Meghan and Harry made a trip to the United Kingdom in June with their children in order to celebrate their grandmother’s platinum jubilee. During this trip, they paid their respects to their grandmother. They made it a point to introduce their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, who is named after the Queen, to her. Also, they named their daughter after the Queen. A commentator on the royal family named Omid Scobie made the following statement at the time: “Those moments with Lilibet are very much private between them and the Queen. Of course, we know how much she’s been looking forward to it.” They have been unable to advance because of a pandemic. It should come as no surprise that Harry has only been seen in this location on occasions when he was here by himself to attend solemn events. Because of this, we can say that this was the very first occasion.”
