The news of her passing was shared on Twitter by another Filipino actress, Annabella Rama, who also asked her followers to pray for the legendary actress. Her passing was confirmed. On Friday, August 5, 2022, Gil departed this world forever.

Raphael John “Ralph” Gil Eigenmann, better known by his stage name Mark Gil, was a Filipino actor who was born on September 25, 1961 and passed away on September 1, 2014.
